Wish you were Here

I say it every fortnight but gosh doesn't it come round quick? You wowed us once again with your sentimental creations, making Mervi's job as tricky as ever :-)

For our next challenge at Craft Room Challenge, Hazel wants to see postcards inspired by summer holidays and travel. The postcards need to be 6 x 4 inches, and must be stand alone, ie not attached to another project like a card, or scrapbook LO.

I went all Parisian ;) for my creation.

Paris Postcard

This is a combination of techniques and combos of images and stash finds. I started with a 6 x 4 chipboard base, I then added Tim Holtz tissue paper and painted with acrylic paint . I then stamped some Parisian Franking marks ( you can't see them - they kinda got lost in the next processes ;) ).
I then embossed using one of the new embossing folders again from Tim Holtz.
I then added the collage elements, using some of the Crafty Individual images (our sponsor for this challenge) and a Marie image from my stash.
I then added the flowers and bits and bobs, and blended them all together with more paint.

Finally I added beeswax.

As I mentioned our sponsor for this challenge is Crafty Individuals.

Funky Background

This was such quick fun to make, I took  a scrap piece of glossy card, sprayed with some Dylusions sprays, dried it with  a heat tool. Then stamped with black Archival ink.
The flower and sentiment are from Stampin' Up!

Lay Claim to your Fate

I love this sentiment and Midge from the new Stamps from Rogue Redhead Designs. For my first creation with this brilliant collection of stamps I wanted to create something bright and funky lol

I stamped the background first. I then stamped Midge on glossy card and coloured her with Primacolor markers.

Here's one of my first creations using this new set, it's a coaster that I've turned into a wall hanging. I've made it for a colleague at work, who has a joke with her flat mate about YOLO, so I had to use it to make this little gift for her :-)

Here are the images form the set.

Come back tomorrow when I have a card to show you using the same set.

Mini canvas

This canvas is approximately 6 x 6 inches. I've gessoed and painted with acrylics. I then added 2 images from Gecko Galz, and then the fun really starts.
I added some Prima flowers, chipboard key and bits and bobs from my stash. I then blended everything with more paint.

I do so love this creative inky, sticky painting process.

I'm entering this over at Snazzy's where they are asking us to be inspired by Ania Dabrowska  aka Finnabair. So I really couldn't pass this one up, as I'm still on a creative high after attending 2 of her workshops on her recent New Zealand tour.

Autumn Glory

So as you start to taste the Joys of Spring, we in the Southern hemisphere are in a glorious Autumn. The leaves on the non- native trees are starting to turn and we're having some lovely sunny days. I love Autumn and the colours and that's what has inspired this journal page today.

I started by just painting some swirls with some gold, red and orange acrylic paint that I had left over from another project. Once dry, I then sprayed some yellow Dylusions spray.  Then I stamped some background stamps, which are a bit hard to see on the photo. Then using stamps from RRD Floriculture set, I stamped with black Archival ink.

I'm entering this over at Fashionable Stamping Challenge- where the theme is Journal.

I hope that where ever you are in the world you are enjoying your change in Season.

In the Library

It's my lucky turn to host the challenge at Craft Room Challenge, I'm pretty excited because our sponsor for this challenge is Rogue Redhead Designs (RRD), And both I and Helene this challenge's Guest Designer are on the Team for RRD :-)

I've chosen the theme In The Library, so I'd love to see your creations with books, text, mini books etc.

I've altered an old book that I've had sitting on my studio shelf for years, waiting to be altered ;) My classes with Finnabair have left me seriously inspired to get altering, and so I make no apology for her heavy influence with this piece. I've used the RRD set Relish Reading one of my all time favs.

Front Cover
Heaps of Flowers and Metal Hardware on here, and then Finnabairs tricks to blend everything together, for an organic look.

Inside I've decorated some of the pages, Here's at the back of the book:

I added a little cut away, and then stamped and added some prettiness. Please hop over to the Craft Room and check out the stunning DT work, they've done me proud.
