Simple Snow Hugs

Over at Rogue Redhead Designs blog we are sharing with you Holiday ideas, so that you can get ahead ;-)

This month we're creating one layer Christmas cards, I've made 2 cards using the set Snow Hugs.

I've stamped the main image, and then using the small background stamp, created the background. If you want to join us - check all the details at Holiday Inspiration Club.

It's a bit strange for me creating snow cards, when we finally have some hot summer weather here in Wellington, New Zealand :-)

Age of Aquarius- Craft Room Challenge

It's Esther's turn to choose our theme at Craft Room Challenge - she's chosen a Water based theme, this is what she has to say:

 I'm asking for all things Water based as we are now in the Sign of Aquarius - The Water Bearer. This means you can either use a water based technique i.e. water colour pencils/paints, or a water themed image.  If it isn't obvious please make it clear what technique you use - this also helps share techniques that may be new to others !



Here's my Water card, I've watercoloured the background, and then over stamped, I also watercoloured the images.

I often decorate the inside of the card, but I usually forget to take a photo ;-)

Lovers Tag

Carnival Lovers tag

Here's my first Rogue Redhead Designs post of 2014, so what better way for me to start a Rogue year, with The Lovers from Carnival Dreams- regulars will know this is a fav of mine.

I already have Valentines Day on my mind :-)

I've gessoed the tag background and then applied a honeycomb template to the tag while the gesso is still wet and rubbed more gesso through- this gives the raised texture. I've then sponged and sprayed for the colour and layered the Lovers.

Craft Room Challenge- Inspiration

It's our first challenge of 2014 at Craft Room Challenge, and the paint is literally still wet on my tag I've created. We have a great challenge for our first one of the year- so make sure you check it out :-)
